Speed-trap capture top award at “IT Industry Oscars”
Speed-trap’s Prophet wins Technology Application Category award and overall Technology Award at British Computer Society (BCS) IT Professional Awards 2003 dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

speed-trap Limited, the e-business decision support experts, announced today that they had been awarded the acclaimed BCS Technology Award 2003, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and the BCS Technology Applications award, sponsored by BT, at a glitzy Park Lane ceremony last night.
These awards, christened the “IT industry Oscars” have, for the first time, brought together the 30-year old BCS IT Awards, the BCS Management Awards and a new set of awards for individual excellence. The combined event pulled together the nation’s top-flight IT technology, applications and professionals in an un-paralleled celebration of excellence.
Prophet - innovation and commercial success
speed-trap, formed in 1999, has demonstrated via its success in gaining these awards, that its unique and patented solution for the monitoring, measurement and improvement of web-sites and web applications has achieved a position of international pre-eminence.
The awards recognise Prophet’s success in coupling innovative technology, with major sales to on-line companies like WH Smith and PC World Business; organisations including the UK government’s Department of Education and Skills; and leading finance, travel & retail portals including Tourism Ireland’s corporate site www.tourismireland.com.
