A Successful Launch for the CDNA Virtual Union

A Successful Launch for the CDNA Virtual Union

In November of last year, Room 58 were selected by the Community & District Nurses Association (CDNA) to work with them on the redevelopment and relaunch of their web site.

The prime objectives for the project were to develop a site that was both user friendly and informative without excessive technical detail. During the intervening months, Room 58 successfully completed the development within the parameters set out by CDNA and in line with the required schedule.

The culmination of this successful project was reached on Tuesday, 30th January, with the official launch of the web site, which took place at Congress House in London. In recognition of their key role, Room 58 were invited to attend the launch as a mark of appreciation for all their efforts. The Rt. Hon. Patricia Hewitt MP, Secretary of State for Health officially launched the site at the event alongside Brendan Barber, General Secretary of the TUC and Anne Duffy, Chief Executive, CDNA. The event was also attended by Ann Keen, MP and Honorary President of the CDNA and a number of other senior representatives of Primary Healthcare in the UK.

The new web site was well received by all those attending the event. In particular, the innovative approach introduced by Room 58 to the subject matter was welcomed as an impressive development for such web sites, achieving not only the prime objectives but also generating wider interest.

Two members of the Room 58 team, Louise Burke and Matt Farrar, attended the launch and gave a brief presentation on the key functionalities of the site as well as being available to respond to specific questions.

The success of this project demonstrates the importance for all participants working closely together to ensure that, in attaining the key objectives, the end-product reflects the skills of all involved.
