Earlier this year, the new look web site for the Atlantic Rowing Challenge went live and would appreciate your on going support! This new look web site is a step in the right direction as Rachel Smith and Lin Griesel continue their challenge of raising £100,000 for Breast Cancer Care by rowing across the Atlantic Ocean! The challenge will start this December in La Gomera, Canary Islands and will take almost 3000 miles and 70-100 days to finally reach Antigua. The new web site designed and donated by the team at Room 58, includes exciting new features where you can follow the women's journey right from now till the end of the race. Their blog entries give a fascinating insight into what they have been putting themselves through in order to be prepared for the race as well as updating you on their fund raising efforts. Many companies and individuals have already pledged their support with donations and sponsorship. All those that have generously contributed are listed in the 'Our Sponsors' section of the new site. This section includes details of the Sponsorship packages that you or your company can get involved with and be a part of this commendable challenge. Adventurers and sportspeople alike can appreciate exactly the limits that Rachel and Lin are having to push themselves to and what obstacles they will have to overcome in the near future. Many have left kind messages of support and encouragement. Dee Caffari (first woman to sail around the world) commented, “I am a huge fan of Rachel and Lin's challenge that lies ahead and will be supporting them all the way". There is still a long way to go and a lot of money to raise. With the new web site it is now quicker and easier than ever before to donate.
