Late last year Room 58 compiled a 12-month marketing strategy for afPE, that focuses on increasing awareness and securing more members.

The core recommendation was to improve afPE’s online presence and after much consultancy the design and build of the site has now begun. The site will focus on the user and the provision of rich and informative data. It will be built on the award winning content management platform Joomla! and encompasses member relationship management system as well as e-commerce, latest news facilities, training and events calendars and contact information for all local representatives.

Room 58 have also built an online blog, allowing members to pose parliamentary questions relating to Physical Education and the Law. A link to Hansard - the official report of the House of Commons - is also available.

The new web site will launch late 2009.
